is it bad for the engine, i mean this modification with putting on a blow off valve!! i have a 2004 subaru impreza, but it doesn't sound like this cars with the turbo whitsler and the blow off valve, i want to put a blow off valve but i'm afraid if it hurt my engine ://

guy's , keep it 9-12 inches down from the throttlebody . had great luck with the super sequential from HKS , and the GREDDY type-s .

twistymcslide posted: i appreciate your discription , but i dissagree with location . the oem design was made for efficiency with stock boost( 7-13psi in most) , when you go aftermarket and make any power greater than stock , the closer to the throttle body i think it should be because your otherwise having to fill 6ft of piping and a core before your makeing boost again , the closer it is to the TB ,the less velocity is lost since the turbo never stops

i agree with that. i think its excellent insight. I was thinking in a turbo protection standpoint, whereas his was from a performance mindset. great conversation

if u have a turbo and a blow of valve would it hurt the engin

:-) you want a blow off valve for a turbocharged car. it will hurt the turbos without it. The engine wont be hurt nearly as much as the turbo.
