We built a system using Orient 2 and Prospeckz devices. These are crazy prototype things, one which is basically an electronic compass and the other is just a board which you can hook sensors up to.
This seems interesting, however I couldn't see myself really using it in the real world.
Now a distributed home network system of sensors that perform actions based upon logic rules I've created, such as turning on the light of a room when I open the door, THAT would be useful!
