After learning to idle on the short uni, Caleb got a 5' unicycle. This is after a day or two practicing on the thing.

God i love my giraffe, heres the thing though... After 'bout 2 weeks of jumping off that sucker i developed a stress fracture in my Tibia.

I have heard that this can be a problem - the stress of the dismount is pretty great. We were told early on that he should only ride it for shows - not just for tooling around because of the stress of getting off the thing. Sorry to hear about your tibia - I hope it heals quickly.

Good luck. Although my Son (in this video) is pretty good on the tall uni, I have never been brave enough to try it. 10 year olds have less fear and bounce better.
