Coral reefs are home to a quarter of the world's marine life. But reefs aren't just good for fish. 450 million people need them for food, jobs and protection of the sea. But climate change, pollution and over-fishing are trashing reefs everywhere. A quarter of the world's coral reefs are damaged beyond repair.   • Coral reefs should not serve as a source of food. We must stop thinking that everything that is of benefit for humans shall be protected whereas we don't care about the problems that are "only" affecting animals or the environment. Overfishing is a big problem of course but we can only solve the problem if the governments establish protective areas - ecosystems that are working without interference by humans.
