TFC goes to Seattle

TFC supporters make the trip to Seattle, to see if the expansion franchise lives up to the hype. One thing that was left out of the video (due to the 10 minute time cap) was the lyrics 'Seattle 'Till I Die' up on the video board.

Sounders FC fans are the best- I've been 2 two of their games at Qwest- no one can compete in the mls with our fans!

It's funny how he was supposed to show how SEATTLE fans were but all he showed were Toronto(the army of 15 of them walking down the street).

He didn't show any pre-game celebrations, completely cut out the march to the game which features thousands of rant fans.

He doesn't even talk to any Sounders people.

And then in the end he calls out Sounders to travel to BMO after only maybe 50 Toronto fans went to Qwest?

I also think that TFC is a great roll model for us and that together TFC and the Sounders set a great bar for the rest of MLS.

I have noticed that it is hard to get the whole stadium to do some of the more complex cheers, but I think as time moves on there will be more and more fans chanting along with those.

I will try to make a match in Toronto next year and see what we can learn from the TFC. Professional North American soccer can use all the good ideas it can get the respect it deserves.

Seattle and Toronto have done wonders for the league and is helping MLS grow into something great. With the additions of Portland and Vancouver...the rivarly between them and Seattle will be amazing. All 3 clubs will have insane support. When Montreal gets into the MLS...the rivalry they will have with Toronto will be HUGE!!!! I cannot wait to see the MLS take it to the next level in the next few years...

I found this mega mega interesting. I'm an Australian member of Sydney FC's supporter group the Cove. Did a working holiday in Canada in 1999 & had the misfortune of attending a Toronto Lynx match at Varsity Stadium. Vancouver at least had a ground in Burnaby when I was there.

Great to see things are changing for football not only in the US of A but in CANADA as well.

anyone know the song in the intro of the vid? very catchy. Well for those of you saying blue is our city's colour, the raptors don't fly blue. Even though TFC maybe shoulda followed the blue, at least theyre not green!

@QballFittzz It's not because we have more seats, Seattle has had a good base of soccer fans. Even back then in days of North American Soccer League we had a good support base. The one thing the Sounders FC did for me is actually change my whole thinking on soccer. That was partly because of things like the band that plays before the game, the hometown spirt of ECS, and of course the team itself.
