Awesome! Truly a master at work. But as a krav maga practitioner, I think that is the point. Will these techniques work with just a little practice? Or does one need to spend years working at them? But very impressive!
@gekiryudojo Haha, yes I agree. However I still think that if you'd use your body for disarming a knife, it seems like you aren't giving the knife enough respect. That's why I was referring to a tool like a shock knife, for simulating the fear you'd get from a real knife. I'm sure this would work for a very experienced systema practitioner and masters like Vladimir, but for beginners like me, it seems like a dangerous thing to practice.
Beautiful. Although I must say, as a krav maga practitioner and as someone new to systema, the knife work is still something I remain very skeptical about. Using your body to disarm the opponent seems so surreal to me (in the case of knives). I'd love to see the same principles in action using shock knives instead. :p

@sneraul
you should try it.
this stuff works very differently from KM, or other arts.
it's truly based on relaxation and awareness, rather than reflex action
it won't make sense until you work with it a bit.
but it does work exceptionally well, it's very flexible and adaptable!
additionally, it's highly superior to other forms of MA in terms of health and longevity.
at least, that's my experience of it...
