If you already own wood or faux wood blinds that are just too tall, sometimes you don't need to buy new blinds, you can just shorten the ones you already have. http://www.blinds.com/?gtse=ytvHTS

  • Recently bought some timber blinds that indicated on the package that they could be shortened. The instructions inside however, didn't make any mention of exactly how to shorten them. This video was really useful, and I have now successfully installed and shortened them. Given that I am the most un-handy person on the planet, this is a real achievement!

  • I just moved into an apartment and it has these kinds of blinds. I thought they could be shorten but I thought it had to be done professionally. I had no idea it was this easy. I have like 10 extra slates that sit on my window sill when the blinds are down. Time to fix that.

  • Thank you - great step by step instructions and clear video! My blinds came with useless "instructions".

  • OMG Thank you so much! I bought some Faux wood blinds and they are way too long. This video helped big time!

  • Your instructional illustration is so useful. Well done and thank you.

Is it possible to also prepare a text version of your instruction?

    Once again thank you.

I will let you know how it goes.

  • Thank you for the help!

  • Really helpful. I couldn't understand my paper instructions at all. Thank you!
