Axl can roll and attack at the same time, which not only make him invincible but also allow him to shoot to any direction during this state. This is what make him much more versatile than X and Zero, and what X doesn't have.

In X8 they still keep the rolling move, but get rid of the shooting part, makes it simply a dodge.

Megaman lejend was pwn but... the X series should always be a fast paced 2D like it always have been imo. instead of adding enhanced graphics and shit they could add more stages for once since it's on the PS2 baybeh.
