This 2006 video was filmed 17 years after the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. Corexit breaks down the oil to fine droplets then it is flushed with water beneath the surface. It is more cost effective for oil companies to do this than deal with disposing thousands of tons of raw crude oil. They are just brushing it under the carpet and not actually dealing with it.

What Exxon doesn't want you to see

17 years after the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in Prince William Sound, Oil remains just under the surface of formerly pristine beaches. Exxon doesn't want to pay to clean up the remains of their toxic spill while enjoying record profits.

  • The oil will soon be taken care of by turning the ocean into a soup of poisonous dispersants so don't worry.

  • @possetraxx It is where the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill happened in Prince William Sound, Alaska.

The video is 4 years old and was filmed 17 years after the disaster.

They are using the same chemical in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil isn't cleaned up it is sprayed with Corexit which sinks it beneath the surface.

  • until every man-made structure in our counrty makes its own energy with solar or widmill, noone has any right to bitch about it if stuff gets spilled and nature dies.the tech exsists!this aint 1981 anymore!we have no excuse to tolerate fossil fuels anymore.its time to tell the energy providers to fuck themselves, and make our own,and be self-sufficient as a country once again!!thats what made america great up till the 1920s when we got lazy, and went to the store instead of our yards for food.

  • why be sad when you can be mad?

  • these things need 200 years to correct themselves

  • Yay, another cover-up! See everyone, they cleaned up the Exxon Valdez Spill... they will have no problem cleaning up this one either.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @91177info That is pretty freaky.

  • This is, by any measure an act of global vandalism & an act of war against the people & all life within the gulf region.

There is only one small hope that exists, bioremediation.

I also suspect that this black noxious mass is already influencing the weather not just in the area, but right through the gulf stream. In this way, it will serve the CO2 AGW myth. The vileness of the minds behind this demonstrates the danger these maniacs present.

    Great post, thank you

  • sad~so very very sad
