Sweet Charity: The Rhythm of Life

Adlington Music and Arts Society (AMAS)'s production of Sweet Charity, October 2008.

It was only filmed on a digital camera, so there are a couple of cuts, and for some reason the colour seems to have stripped out a lot (trust me, this was a REALLY colourful scene!)

I really like the portrayal of daddy, quite different from the typical generic hippie in most productions I've seen

Thanks. We realised that although the script says they started as a jazz group, there's nothing about them being hippies or anything, so we had some hippies, some 60s mod types, and had a more pimptastic daddy.

Yeah, plus the start is all cut out, that was dancing around the apron too, and the middle dancers and edge dancers had their own choreography, but it was so hard on that stage doing it all without crashing into each other or the side panels.

The choreography was actually pretty good, but because it was all cramped in on this small stage and with the poor lighting it just didn't come across that well, sadly.
