@pockyoilic I really don't have a reply to your question, I just have a question myself about getting accepted to Korea University. I know there is an interview process and I was just wondering if it is over the phone or if you have to actually go to Korea for the interview.

Wow, i had to stay in the old dorms, with the korean male students in the upper levels. it was soo cold during the winter months :S

Also, CJ International House is MUCH better than the other dorms and also much better than most apartments in the area. And breakfasts (for 4,500W each are buffets with great Western breakfast food) Nicest place i'll ever live in as a student. The only downside really is the gender thing. No persons of opposite gender on your floor. but.. i think it's an acceptable trade-off.

For American students thinking of studying abroad at Korea U., i recommend going straight through K.U. if your university will allow you to take a semester leave. This way, you will avoid paying your own tuition while you study abroad at a much cheaper school. For me, it's worth it, but i guess if you go to a state school it may not be worth the effort.

GPA requirements for int'l students are very low. The school is eager to increase foreign student body. Also, the tuition is about $3k a semester, far cheaper than the $50k a year i'm paying at Georgetown.
