マイクロマウスはロボットが自力で迷路を探索し、その後最短経路を高速で走行しタイムを競うロボット競技です。

Are you allowed to fire a laser at the ceiling and have it return the maze and do in indoor calculation to figure out the fastest route instead of the robot going around searching for it?

yes, they first do a reconnaissance run in which the mice learn the solution to the maze on their own using a search algorithm

yeah its easy to write a code for searching algorithm but to achieve such accuracy is very difficult

In my opinion, it is alot easier to program the searching algorithm than to control the motion.
