  • I just wanted to clear up some broken ends there...

  • Pretty much the people who have accidents are either embasiles who shouldn't have a gun anyway, people who think they are smarter than to shoot themselves with a loaded gun and get careless, which falls under the "embasiles" catagory... and people who have "true" accidents, like dropping they're gun out of a tree stand and shooting themselves in the ass... or they have gun blow up in their face... which is very rare nowadays...

  • Its not legal*, moral, or ethical to aim a gun at someone while it is unassebled, but can still be done "safely"... as demonstrated in this video... The gun looks as if it were "loaded" or fully assembled... but really the chamber is locked open and no ammo was loaded into the firearm...

  • Hey, I totally agree with you here in this case, but the other dudes definitely have a great point as well. But just so you know, you misspelled "imbeciles" (kinda ironic, no?)

Great job on the PSA though, I can see why you got the good grade. I'm working on one for school myself about the importance of parents keeping their guns unloaded and in a safe, out of reach place.

  • Lol, could be ironic... i'm not a genius, I'm just a video Producer... I don't call people imbeciles often anyway...

Your video idea is a good one. I do believe however, that it is "alright" to have a loaded gun in your house for self defense situations, although of course that changes when you have children or house guests. It all depends on where you put it, how your house is set up, what kind of gun, etc. Good point though...

  • Never aim a gun at anyone, period. Especially when making a PSA about gun safety... like you said, PERIOD.

  • Unless that gun is knowingly disassembled for a school project that you are making... It's the point that if you don't know anything about guns or you are new to them, it's common sense not to aim one at a person. It was simply the "punch line". Thats how they can "safely" aim guns at eachother in movies...

This was a school project, so my message was for an audience of people who are rather uneducated in the field of gun safety.

  • I think they meant to say never point a firearm at anyone or anything your not willing to destroy. There is a big difference between aiming and pointing. There are very few accidents while aiming.

  • Think what you ment to say was "Never Point a gun at anyone" the word "aim" implies you want to shoot

  • this is one of the best PSAs i have seen. there was actual thought to it. Alot out there are done by people/kids that know nothing about firearms other than what they see in the news and movies. I give it an A+

  • Very good job editing. Nice angles too.

  • wow, that was really professional. for some reason, it made me think of the video they show at the beginning of flights...

  • People who shoot themselves tend to think the gun is not loaded while handling it and assume that muzzle discipline is no longer important. I know you had your reasons, though. I just assert that one should never handle a firearm incorrectly even if you 'know' it is 'safe' because doing so does not reenforce good safety habits but rather helps build bad ones. But then, I index my finger at the gas pumps and picking up a bottle of windes to burn in good habits.
