  • @thecompleteopposite1 Why hate on metal? It's the only genre to make it onto the Periodic Table.

  • @thecompleteopposite1 That's nice. But you being like "ugh metal" and encouraging him to lower his scope of music just to suit you is stupid.

  • could u review mirrorthrone carries of dust please

  • Neige is one of the best vocalists alive! Please review either Lantlôs - These nights were ours (song only) or the whole album called .Neon. Neige is singing there aswell and it's just beautiful :')

  • i like your reviews.i just suscribed.i am an extreme metal fan but i also love hip hop and jazz.thanks for the review of this album.i personally enjoyed it due to the fact that the band uses constrasting styles in their music and i feel it works.i do enjoy the vocals since it helps create more of that serene vibe that contrasts the more aggressive parts.i feel the songs are solid and are successful in creating a wide palette of emotions.sadness, anger and serenity.thanks bro, will be watching...

  • The album really started to shine with about the 30th listen

  • @RassaLibre What did you guys talk about? :)

  • @BathoryHordes yep... he was here in Prag with Alcest ;-)

  • I'd be more or less lying if Alcest didn't get me more interested in Shoegaze as a whole. But I can totally understand where you're coming from in regards to Neige's clean vocals. While I feel that they're well sung and fit amazingly well with his work (Solar song is up there, for sure.), It's just kinda hard to go from Shoegazey stuff to full on Black Metal shrieking and growling.

I <3 the theme of the album, though. very Fae, Ethereal, somewhat haunting. I'd give it a high score, personally

  • @RassaLibre Have you met him?

  • Hate to resort to such a comment, but where'd you pick up that Earth shirt? Looks rad.

  • Glad to see this track reviewed because this album has been on constant rotation for me for the past month. I can't say I agree with your opinion on the clean vocals, I think they are used quite well and contrast with the more black metal shrieks. I think how "sanitised" they are helps highlight this quality. The clean bit at around the 3:05 mark in the first part of the song in particular never fails to give me chills.
