first of all your an ass, how dare you criticize something you obviously know nothing about. Just because it is way beyond your understanding and capabilities doesnt give you the right open your ignorant mouth and remind everyone that there are people with absolutely no respect, dignity, or appreciation for anything. Theatre is something you will never understand, and people like me who make a living with it hope you never do, you dont deserve it.

It's obvious the kid is 13.
Only a 13 year old would be like "LOL PLAY IS GAY!"
Probably quotes Family Guy.

I must agree that Leading Player played as a woman completely does NOT work. I don't believe that Pippin would be inclined to trust a woman at this stage in the play. The sexual tension that would be present is also inhibitory to the LP's continual pushing of Pippin towards the grand finale. I think too many directors make this choice for two reasons; 1. Lack of of understanding of the show and 2. lack of talented men who can sing, act, and DANCE.

Having played Pippin and the LP in (obviously) two productions, I have come to the conclusion that the LP must not be played by a female. When this change is made, the entire sexual nature of the play is changed, and it is my opinion that should the leading player be played by a female, the plot makes no sense. as Catherine's character would not be needed. I do not have enough room in this post for a complete discussion, but Scott Miller's Working Magic with Pippin will help. Otherwise, awful

HEY YOU HOMOPHOBIC TEDDY BEAR!! WHY DON'T YOU LEARN HOW TO DRESS YOURSELF BEFORE YOU MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT ART.
by the way, nobody was gay in this production.
I HEAR YOU LIKE TO GO UP TO LITTLE CHILDREN AND SHOW THEM YOUR NAUGHTY BITS

I'm wondering if it's just the recording, but she seems overly understated. The intensity and charisma (and eventual frustration) needed in this scene just isn't apparent. Pippin was great, though. Ensemble was strong. Again, it may have been fine live but the recording doesn't capture it for me.

Wow. Theo is great.
I really like Pippin and the Lead Player, although I didn't think she was very encouraging, she was just kind of scary, which the lead player should be sometimes. The players were haunting too. Wish I could of seen this live. Vocals are good. Dancing... not so much. Choreographing problem though.

The lead player is great. She looks like a cross between Raven & Monique Coleman. Like their love child. ^_^
Dancing is terrible. Everyone's. Just like, the over all choreography.

I saw SnS's production and I was definitely crying at the end. It was so beautiful. I love Ian's voice!

i LOVE the fact that this was student-run.
This is my top choice school by far. If and when I go there I'm becoming a part of Scotch N Soda

This was not performed by CMU Drama, rather a student organization on campus. A few of the actors were music majors, the only drama major in the producton was the lighting designer.
the lead player was definitely a force on the stage...every night, really excellent
