Follow on clip from 'The Jitterbugs', Sally realises that Lord Randall doesn't like jazz and in order to get him on side, sings a 'straight' version of 'Oh Danny Boy'. This shows the versatility of Gracie's performances.

  • Her country betrayed her. Just check on all the work she did entertaining the forces in France and the Far East, plus all her Canadian tours to raise money for the Navy League and her tours of the USA to heighten awareness of Britain's plight. Facts are always distorted, especially by the press.

  • Say Good Night Gracie

  • That was Gracie Allen, partner to George Burns!

  • @celtickimba Thank you.

  • @calihartley2010 You are so right

  • @keneth06 yes i agree and we have downgraded ourselves to crappy rap and hiphop and heavy metal too. Today's singers have no talent. I bet that old man in the video who though she was a sham would call these modern singers shamers and he would be right by just looking at the way they dress and need not hear their voice.

  • Wow! This is beautiful...

...Our Lancashire lass knew how to treat an Irish song....

No wonder the whole world loved her.......

  • NO ONE can be compared to Gracie Fields, she had the most versatile voice that has ever been.

  • My stars she sounds beautiful.

  • @smoojah Yesm that was Gracie Allen, and George Burns loved her forever. What a couple. Thank you for that rendition smoojah. Anne
