The Thin Line Between Love and Hate chapter 7

After me and Nick finished our lunch we went to the local shopping strip and the mall wasnt too far from there. he just showed me around the town. Maybe I could get used to this. We made our way back to our houses. There was a park across the street so we decided to go there. we were walking in silence. I really didnt know what to say. He is an awesome guy. But I didnt know what to say around him. We stopped and looked at each other. I wanted to kiss him. But I held back. He leaned in and kissed my cheek. Im sure my cheeks were bright red.

Nick: umm, so what do you say? Did you enjoy the day?

I was still shocked by the kiss, even if it was just on the cheek. Oh my gosh. I cant let this happen. Im starting to fall for him. And I havent even known him that long. I have a boyfriend, and Im pregnant, and I have a horrible attitude, and Im abused. Hes famous, and gorgeous, down to earth, and everything a girl could want. But I couldnt drag him into my mess. He didnt deserve it.

Angela: Im sorry, I cant do this.

Nick: do what?

Angela: be friends, Im sorry, but I think its best if we arent friends.

Nick: did you enjoy the day? Look me in the eyes and tell me you didnt feel what I felt.

I couldnt look him in the eyes.

Angela: I- I didnt feel it.

I ran off even as he called my name. I ran into the house and into my room.

Kelsey POV
I walked downstairs as Angela ran past me and into her room. Hmm. I wonder what happened. She left the door open and Nick came up to the house.

Nick: Where is she?

Kelsey: Um shes in her room.

Soon enough Steve came through the door.

Steve: who are you?

Nick: Im Nick Jonas sir.

Kelsey: this is Joes brother.

Steve: Oh.

Nick: Im here to see Angela.

Steve: oh Im sorry, but shes grounded.

Nick: oh, uh she didnt tell me that earlier.

Kelsey: I didnt know she was either.

Steve: well I just grounded her. Apparently she caused some trouble in school yesterday. I dont know what Im going to do with her. Her attitude lately.

Nick: well just let her know I came by, and that I really need to talk to her.

Steve: will do Nate.

Nick: Its nick.

Steve just walked out of the room.

Kelsey: sorry about him.

Nick: Its ok.

Kelsey: well Ill walk with you to your house. Joe and Kevin invited me and Amy over there, Amy is already there.

Nick: Is there anyone else here?

Kelsey: Um Steve, and my mom. Why?

Nick: I dont know.

I looked at him strangely.

Nick: where are your brothers?

Kelsey: I dont know.


Nick POV
I dont know why but I didnt want to leave Angela alone by herself. But I shook off the feeling and walked with Kelsey to my house.

Kelsey: so what happened between you and Angela?

Nick: I dont know. I thought everything was going good and then she just ran off saying she didnt want to be friends.

Kelsey: Oh.

We arrived at my house and went to the game room where everyone was. Joe smiled when Kelsey entered and gave her a hug.

Joe: hey.

Kelsey: Hey.

Kevin: so how did going with Angela go?

Nick: Id rather not talk about it.

I walked out of the room and into my backyard.
