A 10/6/08 recording of Darrell Dumas using his role as a televangelist to openly criticizing Barack Obama and the Democratic Party on a religious television station. Church groups are banned from engaging in party politics, or they lose their tax-free status. "Pastor" Darrell Dumas frequently broadcasts redneck rants out of Mississippi on Christian Lesea Broadcast Network station Channel 20 in New Orleans. It isn't uncommon for Dumas to scarcely mention scripture in his tirades against Barack Obama and the Democrats. He may have been off the air for years until recently, possibly due to trouble he previously encountered with either the IRS, the FCC, or maybe he's just too ignorant to draw much of the audience he needs to sustain his redneck "ministry."

  • Thanks guys. By your comments, you yourselves make the best argument for making Dumas pay taxes. He can say whatever he wants to, but not under the shelter of a tax-exempt organization, unless what you want is the government telling you what to believe.

  • Dumas, whether you like him or not... makes sense. I notice the people who disagree with him resort to personal attacks, rather than challenging him on the issues at hand. This is typical of people who can not think or debate effectively and thus, chose to release their frustrations through emotional outbursts (like children). They only know how to resort to name calling or physical violence when they can't defend their position. It's funny to watch them!

  • D. Dumas is pointing out and using the evidence of the media's reporting to show, and try to explain what's being going on. My people you know how to use twitter, to text, to use a computer, however you simply want to look away, or scream when something goes wrong, here it is, no feel good preaching here, no balloons here, no kool aid here, sound plain truth.

  • 2 sides to this story, here's the other. When's the last time a Black church was criticized for back-slapping their Democrat pick on the podium? Though lawyers have delegitimized the phrase reverse discrimination, everyone knows it to be a practical reality. Stalin would give his hearty endorsement to any Democrat, and once he used them to achieve one-party rule he would dispose of them. Does the Black community feel left out? look at the statistics under Obama. If any GOP were in office...gone!

  • These kind of people, people who drive good people away from christ, should be ashamed of themselves. When you bring politics into saving souls, you automaticly loose half the people you could be reaching. I pray for the people driven away by his partisenship.

  • Sounds like you should listen to him some more, since you are in need of salvation or the very comdemnation you propose is going to happen to Pastor Dumas will happen to you. Your filty mouth is repulsive!!!

  • This CREEP IS A WICKED ASSHOLE--GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!!!

  • Yes, Pastor Darrell DOES make sense. No Pastor Darrell should NOT be making POLITICAL sense during a CHRISTIAN television broadcast. My opinion? Study and share God's Word rightly and your politics will take care of themselves...

  • WOW!! ..this man master the manipulation of the WORD....wooooww...sad....hell bound like so many others at the pulpit...not saving one damn soul.....

  • Hey Dirtydurtbag, Maybe you can produce for us a place where McCain flip flooped on the bill in question. I'm waiting... Point stands. Without question you're the product of a deformed sperm cell. Ya daddy ought to have been imprisoned.

  • Its funny how Dumass says that since Mccain co cponsored the bill, how can Obama say that he opposed it. How many times have we seen John Mccain go against something that he was for? A couple immediately come to mind. Im a maveric, im not a maveric. Wrote a biography called "WORTH THE FIGHTING FOR: The Education of an American Maverick, and the Heroes Who Inspired Him.

Pro illegal immigrant, anti illegal immigrant. Willing to change dont ask dont tell if military willing, Not willing. On and ON

  • You are aware that the word "redneck" isn't an insult... it's a compliment.
