  • You did the 'Whose that!" louder than you needed and repeated it too much. Once or twice and quieter works great. Also, it would help if there was someone or something for her to site on while you said it! You're ruing her natural, instinctive guarding abilities by playing with her negatively, it's as bad as teaching her to bite everyone she met.

Well Kristy is now 3 years old and a well adjusted beautiful loyal German Shepherd. i no longer have to tell her to guard or watch as this comes naturally to a smart dog like her. And by the way she does not eat rocks and she is a sweet lovable dog and I am sure she is not going to bite anyone unless provoked.

  • lol you can still eat your rocks!!

  • @melbeast64 Kristy does not eat rocks any more....actually she didn't eat rocks then just chew on them

  • yeah.. good idea.. let the dog eat rocks

  • @abs110284 Now really do you really think that a German Shepherd eats rocks they are one of the smartest dogs. lol...

  • It is true that German Shepherds are known to be strong loyal dogs, however this has more to do with how a dog is raised. You say they are gentle giants but again this is depending on how they are raised. Any breed of dog has the ability to be a loyal and gentle however any breed also has the ability to be a bad dog. Training a dog is more important than the breed you choose. You need to give a lot of attention to your GS especially when it is young.
