Dumb Americans?

This clip is from a TV series called Tourist Trouble, and was broadcast on mainstream TV in the UK. It's common held view outside of America that American's are dumb, this clip would tend to back that up. However before i get flamed, i should point out i don't believe Americans are dumb and have American friends. A lot of Americans don't know much about the world beyond their borders, hence why they may be perceived to be less knowledgeable about the world.

Equally I assume you have copyrighted clearance from Paramount Pictures for use of the Top Gun logo and characters from the film in your videos? If you don't, you may give the impression to people you are dumb. We wouldn't want that would we!?

I'm an American, and I can't honestly say your average American is much smarter than this, but most of every country is idiotic. Why you would go to another country to not experience it, including the food, is beyond me, but plenty of people do it. The accent of this lady indicates she's from the north Midwest, which is known as the worst blandest food in the US, so she shouldn't be so quick to judge UK food. Any other food is better: New England, New Mexican, Californian, Cajun, Tex-Mex.

I fully agree with you. As I state under the video, i feel Americans don't hear much of the world outside the USA, and this comes across as 'dumb'. By dumb I mean having no clue about the world outside America.

If you're an American visiting the UK and you're worried about eating the terrible food, don't worry. You can still find fine American cuisine like KFC and McDonalds. For the more discerning culinary aficionado they even have Pizza Hut. Unfortunatly it is harder to find the finer delectables like Twinkies and Corn Dogs...

Only 3.55% of Americans flew to Europe

Only 1.61% of Americans flew to Asia.

Not suprising, cos most Americans just don't hv that kind of money to travel far and wide..........and giving that CLASSIC EXCUSE that America is so big and has nearly everything.
