A video of pictures of the comedy legend, Carol Burnett.

Born April 26, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas. Burnett was raised primarily by her maternal grandmother, Mabel Eudora White. Her parents divorced in the late 1930s, and Burnett and her grandmother moved to an apartment near her mothers in an impoverished area of Hollywood, California. Carol attended UCLA with hopes of a career in journalism which later turned into an aspiration for an acting career. In 1954, during her junior year, Burnett and her boyfriend, Don Saroyan, left college and moved to New York in order to pursue acting careers. She found work on television and became a hit with her number "I Made a Fool of Myself Over John Foster Dulles." She made her broadway debut in Once Upon A Mattress in 1959 as Princess Winifred, a role she would take again for television versions in '64 and '72 and as the queen in 2005. Carol also appeared in television specials with friend, Julie Andrews; Carnegie Hall (1962), Lincoln Center (1971) and Together Again (1989) She returned to broadway in Fade Out, Fade In. An unpleasant experience at the time. After a short marriage to college sweetheart, Don Saroyan she married second husband, Joe Hamilton. The two had 3 children, Erin, Jody, and Carrie, who unfortunately died of cancer January 20, 2002. Carol began her self titled comedy/musical variety show (1967-1978) a show which accumulated 25 Emmys. She appeared in other specials with Dolly Parton and Beverly Sills. Some of her film roles include, Pete 'N' Tillie, Friendly Fire, Front Page, Noises Off, The Four Seasons, Annie, and more recently, Post Grad. She appeared in many guest roles on t.v. included a dramatic performance on Law And Order: SVU. She returned to broadway after a 30 year absence in Moon Over Buffalo in 1996 and again in Putting It Together in 1999. She wrote a memoir; One More Time in 1985. Carol has also just released her new anecdotal book; This Time Together: Laughter And Reflection. Carol and Joe divorced in 1984 and he passed away in 1991. Carol is now married to Brian Miller a musician.

  • To transfer vhs to dvd you need a video capture device (external or software) or a vhs/dvd in one recorder.

  • Most of the rare ones I have to track down through collectors or transfer old vhs to dvd then import onto the computer.

  • Thank you for the kind comments on my channel. I love Carol too and hope to upload Chu Chu and the Philly Flash soon - because it's so rare.
