The jungle plants you bought are from many different web-shops, aren't they? Sry, if you said it but I'm not english speaking and you talk a little fast^^...I wonder if I could reach such a diversity without spending much money and time in the internet. Can you tell my were I could find a big variety of such plastic plants?

@Froschritter The collection of plants I use comes from a few different sources and you need to invest a bit of money to get the diversity you need for a good effect. You need at least a dozen different different plant types. I can't remember the websites I used and would have to check my records. My only tip is to avoid aquarium sites. Look for sites that sell to florists or for crafters. Good luck!

normally I hate the jungle look because people never get the feel right and it looks right out of an aquarium... You, my friend, have changed my tune.. That is absolutely dead on. My father owns a tropical plant business, and you've nailed the look.. Impressive. you must have search a long time to make sure you got those varieties, not only for diversity, but also for realism.. well done.

Wanted to add, I'm really curious about the sand mixture you use, its very nice looking after painted.

Thank you for your compliments. The sand mixture is really nothing special. I often use traction sand or play sand and sift out the larger gravel (to use under cliffs, etc.) I try to select small grain size as it scales better, but some variation in size is helpful to make it more visually interesting and realistic.

I agree on both those points.

ive never really seen anyone get a jungle terrain piece to look like actual jungle.

it normally looks all plastic-y and static.

and second, i think terranscapes did it wonderfully!
