A test in time lapse I made, mainly to see if my camera had a time lapse option. It doesn't, unfortunately, it has to be connected to a computer for a time lapse option.
So, in order to make this, I put my camera in continuous shooting mode and depressed the trigger by putting a few decks of cards on it.
I decided to make this since it was very windy where I was, and the clouds were whipping by. The entire video was taken over only about a 20 minute period, so you can see how fast those clouds were moving along.
This was filmed in my room, on the second floor of the house, so I couldn't really clean the rain spots off of my window. :P It's a bit under 1000 pictures.

  • Wish you lived in texas again buddy

  • I actually go there every year, but this year I may not be. I don't know yet anyways.

  • Even though you did what you had to do to get the effect, it worked. Another way to do this would be to let your video roll continuously and when you drop the footage in your editing system, delete frames to get the FPS you want. Good job, and it only took 20 min? I'm doing my first time lapse this monday. It's been raining, so I'm hoping for some huge cumulusnimbus clouds.

  • I hope it turns out! My camera does not take a very high quality video, so unfortunately it would not look nearly as nice. (and I believe that there is also some kind of 1 hour limit)

yep, this only was about 20 min, it was so windy the clouds were going like crazy! It was pretty much a new sky every 5 min.
