Madden 10 Tips - Nickle Strong: Cover 2 (Blitz)

Nickle Strong: Cover 2 is a sweet blitz when i ran how i explained. The cool thing about this play is you only send 5 guys and still get uncontested pressure. Also the outside WR's will be pressed. Here is how you do it: (1) Shift D-Line left (2) Press coverage (3) Hot route slot CB to blitz & move him next to your defensive end (4) Move safety's closer to the line to fill in the shorter gaps for maximum pass coverage. Remember your slot CB should have 95 or better speed for this to be real serious.

How do you slow down the snap in practice mode? It's too quick for me to set up.

@Xizor8213 Your counter would be very effective, but if I saw this it would be obvious I would need to spread LB audible strike 2 deep move left CB in next to RE and hit you with instant pressure and tight zone coverage.

This play is great against shitty players... or the computer... But it would never work against me. If I saw an opponent do this, It would be quite obvious what his intentions are. I'd either call for a reverse & make that RB passblock & make the line slide block left, or id simply make the line slide block left and put the RB on a quick hitch route to the right

i use Cover 2 46 formation lol.

you can also make the far right lineman to do a QB contain, that allows the qauterback from scrambling to the right of the feild, and also can provide more pressure for the QB.

and for better coverage, do a Hook Zone to one of the middle linemens, this will prevent short passes to the inside.
