Video take June 1, 2009 of my SFG showing some of my vegetables and how they are coming along so far this year. This is my first year doing a SFG and it really is a pleasure watching how everything grows. The only issues I have had so far are a few pests, like cabbage loop worm, eating on some of my broccoli and cauliflower leaves but I dusted them and picked off the pest and so far so good. I also learned that you must use homemade aphid spray sparingly. I used Murphy soap, vegetable oil and water to spray on some of my squash and green bean plants, and I think I used too much because it ended up burning the leaves and some of the buds on my squash and zuchinni plants. Next year, I will know better and just dust them with garden pest dust. Other than those issues, my sfg is doing splendid.
