Truck Drivers Nightmare South Surrey BC

About a year ago this truck driver turned onto 24th avenue from King George Highway and drove over a snow-covered road divider. You can see him trying to dig his way out. The divider is one block long and has signs all along it. He couldn't back up, go forward and was stuck for hours causing total traffic chaos. I'm not sure how they got him out of there but man, what a predicament!

I can't even imagine mistaking a road divider for the center of a lane of traffic... the picture shows plowed lanes to either side... it looks to me like me lost control or was not paying attention and once over the thing, he kept going, trying to get free until he saw it was not succeeding and finally stopped.

@happyquails That's exactly what happened! I wish I had added more pictures to show exactly the situation the guy was in. Once he was stuck it was impossible for him to back up, go forward or turn to either side. Not a good day for the guy!

I was born in Surrey, and there's a LOT of shitty drivers out there. Not as bad as Van or Richmond tho. This poor guy just couldn't see what was under the snow. As a general rule more than three quarters of Lower Mainlanders don't know how to drive in winter conditions.

Yeah, I live in Surrey BC and close to NOBODY knows how to drive properly. I swaer it is like a bunch on 5year olds on a tricycle. I am only 14yrs old and could probably drive better then 40% of the population in Surrey. Mind you I have been driving since I waas 5 years old.. so that doesn't really count for shiet :p

Some areas have a center lane for turning left from either direction. The road looks like it wide enough for that, and with the snow covering the divider the driver could not see that this area did not have a center left turn lane.
