So I got a couple of questions about the methods on the previous video. I haven't seen this done by anyone else, but it doesn't take much to drag a piece of steel on a rock. You won't catch me saying I made this technique up. Maybe I can make name for it though...stroke sparking? Yep, thats the coffee talking.
The sparks generated by such a method are not very hot, so far I have only got prepared stuff like charred cloth and charred wood to catch. I haven't worked with anything else much though.
Char cloth: cloth that has been burned and snuffed out.
Charred Rotten wood: Exactly what it sounds like, snuffed out.
Machete: Condor Bolo 15" carbon steel machete
I have an Ontario Sawback Machete ... Was planning on grinding it down, anyway (LoL) ... No tellin' what kinda sparks that thing would throw !
