SXSW 2009 SHOWCASING ARTIST - El Sol y La Luna - Saturday, March 21 - 1:00 a.m.
Named after Israeli fusion artist/producer Badawis 1996 release which pays homage to nomadic Arabic poet tribe the Bedouins power trio Bedouin Soundclash formed in 2001 at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Unlike most musicians who try to mimic their musical idols, Bedouin Soundclash forges their own musical path creating music embodying each members personal and diverse musical preferences.

@parnellrd you think that the reason they sang that song is cause they are trying to get people to drink coca cola? no... they are trying to get their band name out there... so that people will listen to their music.... if that is selling out then every band in history has in some sort of way sold out, people aren't gonna drink coca cola just because the bedouin soundclash is singing their theme song... and if they do then they deserve to get fat. Musicians still need to make money too you know.

i always wondered who the Bedu guy in the band is! ...Bedu=Bedouin. i guess its the main singer cause he could be a Bedu born in Canada. a Bedu can be from anywhere from Algeria to Iraq!
