Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau is the Welsh national anthem. The tune and words were the work of the father and son team of Evan James (1809 - 1878) and James James (1833 - 1902).

I was going to the Cardiff University open day and as me and my dad drove up to the bridge, Land of my Fathers started playing. It's a sign that Wales calls me home :)

Cyrmu am byth! I find it funny how they are english people on here saying 'Oh what a rubbish country!' At the end of they day why would you even search for the Welsh anthem if you think our country is shit? Secondly, I'm sorry, who won the six nations this year? Although we may be a small country, I feel this makes me more proud to be Welsh as only the lucky ones are fortunate to come from such a great country!

I was born and raised in south wales and i must say the stuff primary schools hear say about england is disgusting i can only imagine it would be worse further north i want whats best for wales and its people i may consider myself to be british but my loyalty is to my people independence is not what is best for wales as the uk is not ruled by a tyrant i would only want independence if the uk goes to shit but it hasnt and hopefully wont
