From March 12 through April 10, 2010, http://www.livinlavidalowcarb.com/blog author Jimmy Moore put himself on a self-experiment of eating just eggs, butter, and cheese (local farm pastured eggs, grass-fed butter, and raw cheese) to see what would happen to him. Here's a post about the eggs-periment:

In a span of 28 days, Jimmy was able to shed a total of 27 pounds on this all-egg diet and, more importantly, was able to FINALLY beat his addiction to diet soda after a six-year battle to get that under control. Read about some of the other changes that happened to Jimmy as a result of his "eggfest":

He decided to "break" this eggfest at a meeting of low-carb/Paleo dieters in the Upstate of South Carolina with a meal consisting of filet mignon with Monterey Jack cheese, tomato slices, and mixed veggies (broccoli and squash) with lots of butter. It was his first non-egg meal in a month and by the look on his face in the video was absolutely scrumptious!

  • Ate over a dozen whole eggs per day.

  • @livinlowcarbman How did you eat them? Raw, boiled, scrambled? Personally, I only eat mine scrambled

  • @PsychopathInFoil Country scrambled. :D

  • Wow, i wish this could be broadcasted by the View or something or put in a heath study. Never would have thought of this as healthy...but your 27 pound lost proved it was good for something... So, if u did get off lc, what was your trigger food?

  • @shsu97 I've not been off of low-carb for over six years. But I got a little sloppy maybe allowing a few more products to enter than I needed. My trigger is anything "sweet" to the tongue despite having zero calories. It stoked my cravings, but now they're gone.

  • You ate around 8-12 eggs a day, would a woman need to eat less on the eggfest? I have started today, but dont want to overeat. Thanks

  • @soheavenlei2u Eat as many as you'd like to satisfy your hunger.

  • Eggs, butter, cheese would make me so constipated by the second day

  • Vegetables. Ugh.

  • I really need to try this. Once I get a taste of sugar-free sweet stuff or low-carb baked goods, I have to basically lock myself in my room to prevent a binge. I gained 1 pound in the past week because there's just too much sweet stuff around. My sister brings home bags and bags of malitol candy and it never stalls her, but I have to be way more careful. Ugh!!

  • enjoy your clogged arteries and heart attack in the coming years

  • How many eggs did you eat each day? And did you eat the yolks as well? Just curious because I love eggs and cheese and I wanna try this.
