We visited the Tower of London, during our vacation to London. It plays a significant role in England's history. It was where Anne Boleyn was crowned and beheaded. It was also where many other important people were imprisoned. It also is where the Crown Jewels are kept and can be viewed by the public. This video is of the guards at the Tower of London

  • Married2Travel ..looks as if you have been to some wonderful places , you lucky people its great to see other countries , and i must say I love your country its so vast and varied. I hope you did not take my last post as criticism, i just happen to love history ... but i would be very hard pressed to name many of your presidents , Im so glad you like London its a great place .

  • @sylvie7able No worries from my side. I'm just surprised that I've had that error up for a long time without even realizing it. Thanks for pointing it out. I loved London, wish to go back one day. So much to see and do.

  • I think you will find Marie Antoinette was Queen of France and was crowned and beheaded in France . Queen Anne Boleyn and Queen Kathrine Howard were beheaded at the Tower of London .as were many other historical figures Sir Thomas More being one .

  • @sylvie7able Oh Wow! I didn't realize my mistake, thanks for pointing it out. I don't why I was thinking of Marie Antoinette while writing the info.

  • I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon. I am surprised you have no comments added yet. Watching so many videos of people visiting Windsor Castle linked to this but the Tower of London has so much more history to it - you can really feel the history - Traitors gate sends a shiver down my spine! Hope you are enjoying your wedded life! ANYONE READING THIS - just because the Queen resides (rarely) at Windsor - doesn't make it the BEST part of England's heritage!

  • @LutonEd Thank you. We loved our visit to London, and wish to go back again.
