If these cowardly cops cant serve their community properly, we sure as hell dont need them representing our Amazing United States of America Armed Forces. Your point is well taken. He just need to be fired and that citizen should sue him and his department.

@thenewmike2012 We don't need them in the military either. A lot of soldiers in combat have to be in hostile environments where better communication and conflict-averse behavior could save lives. Imagine that cop in the uniform of the US Army, armed with an M-16, talking to someone who doesn't speak English and is not a US citizen.

I think the vast majority of police know that it's legal for people to record them. I think the vast majority of police that order you to stop recording them know that it's legal for you to do so. I think the officers that beat you up when you refuse to stop recording them are the minority that really don't know.
