I have a question. I recently recovered a crashed plane with a dle 30 motor. the motor has compression but the body is garbage. What do I need to do to get this motor in the air again?

Nice video! I am planing to dowload your book today!
What do you think of the SIG 1/4 scale piper cub for a first kit build?
I have now completed 3 giant scale aircrafts since summer.
I am started this hobby this summer and now want to build a kit.

@xbk62x I would recommend the telemaster from Hobby-Lobby. If you just want to build something quickly with a shorter learning curve, then go for an ARF or RTF. Remember though, that the plane is just a small part of the overall cost. Do you have a rc field to fly or just a park? If you have a park, then you will also want to consider electric. I am happy to email you with more info. just go to my blog on howtomakercairplanes . com and use the contact form there.

@htmrca It means subscribe. & I have a question, if I decided I wanted to make my own plane (out of foam) I already have 20+ servos and about 2 old school motors they were in an old plane i got in parts from a friend. & I have 1 big tamiya motor from a baja truck. could i use all these to build one? (I also have a reciever and multiple batteries, just no propellers). Would it be possible to use 2 of the small motors? or 1 big motor?

@dougieisbamf @dougieisbamf @dougieisbamf Yes, you could use the 2 small motors (perhaps in a push pull configuration). The motors will have to be cooled and you will need gearboxes, depending on the size model you choose to add them to. Most older motors are brushed and will heat up more than newer models. You will need to add a ESC (electronic speed control), this allows the transmitter to control the motor, on off.
