@chaclapa Possessed was the first death metal band. Chuck just expanded on what they did, and Morbid Angel expanded on that.

@HellsAngel05 Kam Lee was a vocalist, growls don't make a song Death Metal, the instrumentation does, Chuck Schuldiner IS the creator/founder of Death Metal, and his vocals are the best, no disrespect for Kam Lee though, he's great too.

@chaclapa that's kind of the same thing that happened with Kam Lee, since he was the person who perfected what the death metal vocal style was back in 84. But not many give him credit for that. People say Chuck or Jeff Becerra created it.
