Reminds me of the tornado in spearfish, SD. Scary stuff guys. Stay safe!

I used to live in the Wet Mountain Valley in Colorado - torandoes are extremely rare there, too. So when I take a trip to Alaska in '97, guess what? A tornado was there and I missed it. I moved to Woodland Park. This tornado happenes and I miss it. Then another one last summer. Missed it. Part of me feels cheated, another says I probably should be grateful. But I would still like to see one before I die. Maybe I'll visit Oklahoma . . .

I see a rotating mesocyclone and a wallcloud in here. We is the tornado at? Nothing appears to be touching the ground, nor do I see any signs of debris.

It touched down about 8 miles from where I was, as the crow flies, in the national forest of Hyw 67 N and Painted Rocks. We went to the top of Blue Bird Hill to get video when the warning went out. I don't have footage of the debris or trees flying... :(

THis is sad, but tis not a tornado.. not close. Its just a low hanging wallcloud which tornadoes come out of. Nothing to see here folks.

Interesting. It leveled over 100 acres of trees off painted rocks.
