london is bigger than ny in area but who gives a shit, i'v been to ny many times, fab city, i'd say it's a tie as the 2 greatest cities in the world, also i think ny is safer than london these days, avoid south london, shark infested waters man!!

@ciglite I mean to new york, it doesn't compare to London. New York is so..bland, so plain, so american. London is so fast, international and has absolutely everything one can dream of! New York doesn't have a football stadium, so it fails to cater my first interest of all - football. The people there are deluded and arrogant. the city as a whole sucks balls, to be honest. Everytime I'm in London I love it, i want to move there.

this and the shard look cool... in dubai... but london is london. theres nowhere else like it, not even in the uk. its got its unique history and style. There should be some reflection of london in the design, whats with all these foriegn designers wanting to knock down our heritage... i mean they wanted to knock down parts of stpancreas station and the hotel.... i mean what the hell. You'll never be able to top that kind of architecture.
Atleast reflect londons UNIQUENESS and IDENTITY

Please do some actual research on the project before commenting on it. They won't be demolishing any heritage to build this. It replaces a fairly nondescript 1970s office block. And I believe the design is outstanding. A fitting centrepiece for London's financial district. Part of London's strength is its ability to blend the old and modern, the traditional and the cutting edge. So what's the problem? London has ALWAYS changed and evolved. You can't expect it to remain a museum city.
