In this video (one of the ten videos in the Wrestling Moves: Takedowns series), Coach Napolitano demonstrates the double leg trip, starting from the neutral stance. With this wrestling move, use a penetration step to get inside and wrap up an opponent's legs before taking him down to the mat. It's an important wrestling move that young wrestlers need to learn for effective takedowns.
I thought for double leg your head goes on the same side as the knee that touches and for single it goes on opposite side of the body? Is that correct. Good video. Thank you.

@TheRelentlessLife Right and look where his head is, if that guy is strong it's just an easy cross face and he's on the ground with a broken neck. Who has the 2 points then

"I'm using my penetration step to attack" Do you understand the word penetrate? On that move you want to push farther, you put your "penetration foot" through his legs and behind him so that you push him and knock him off balance. Also when ever you do shooting moves you aim for behind the opponent so that if and when they sprawl, you have the first draw.
