@pcharles67 I'd be willing to bet money that the study that concluded that Copper Quaternary is safe was funded and conducted by either a lumber company or a chemical company LOL!

I built my raised beds 2 years ago and I love it! I have clay soil so I had to amend it quite a bit. But has been wonderful since! Tomatoes, cantaloupe, beets, peas, asparagus, brocolli, brussel sprouts... so many wonderful veggies!
It really helps to put drip irrigation in as well!
I definitely recommend making raised beds!

Awesome instructions! I realize that not everyone has chickens... BUT, if you do, or have a friend who does... you can put a chicken tractor over or near your garden plot and allow the chickens to scratch up the soil, they remove all greenery and fertilize the soil. When they have everything worked over, you can then move them to another location and begin your final garden prep and planting. Chicken tractors are even being used in cities like Boston! Check out Garden Girl TV for an example

Doesn't untreated wood rot after a while?

I like your cardboard technique... gonna have to try that soon since I have huge rocks about 6 inches under my lawn.... (cheap soil)....

Great guide, keeps it simple & do-able! Drop by my channel sometime & let me know what you think of some of my projects.

I have always wanted raised beds. This video guide is perfect, thanks.
Can you come to my house and build them for me? I'm a girl.

Probably the very best video I've seen on raised beds - and I've looked at a lot of them. Thanks so much.
