it's good and healthy for your pet to face some problems and bogeymen from time to time. This way they wont die of boredom, and their life is closer to their natural ways. Actually, I don't think there's anything wrong with this. The oven is frequently a few hundred degrees when in use. It's not a bad idea at all to make your cat scared of the oven. Same way you might make a very small child scared of the stove. Not neurotically scared, just a little wary.
