A mysterious hand print appeared on my shirt today. Good thing I'm not superstitious. But after I thought about it once I made this vid, I think it is lint from my clothes dryer because i cleaned out the filter and pulled all the lint out but I don't recall touching my shirt. But after I made the vid i was able to wipe the stuff off just with my hand so I'm pretty sure it was just dust/lint that somehow formed into the shape of a hand.

I'd have been more shocked if it had formed into the shape of Jesus on the cross but thankfully, it didn't. whew. Could have shaken my atheism there. HEHE

  • You seem like a pretty cool guy. I would love to sit down with you and pick your brain (metaphorically speaking lol).

  • @perichoresis7 A lot of my brain is in my YT vids. My latest series of vids covers why I believe the resurrection of Jesus is a myth. An older series covers why I believe Jesus never did exist at all on the earth. If you have any specific question, you can ask me. I consider myself a good person. That doesn't mean anything to fundies, tho. :)

  • @TruthSurge haha I know what you mean. Fundamentalists are a sad breed. Have you read any of N.T. Wright's works? More specifically The Resurrection of the Son of God and Surprised by Hope?

  • @perichoresis7 No, because he can't present unbiased information. He believes that the lead character in the story actually walked on water and turned water into wine. You cannot examine the writings objectively when you profess to believe that the lead character saved your soul.

  • @TruthSurge Understandable. But can anyone approach the text without bias? I don't believe so. A nonbeliever would approach the text with a negative bent while a Christian approaches positively. We all approach something with our own preconceived notions.

  • @perichoresis7 "But can anyone approach the text without bias?"

Technically, no. Practically, yes. People who were NEVER Christians are possibly the LEAST biased. Ex-Christians such as myself have a tiny bit MORE bias that might cause me to overstep and see a contradiction where perhaps there is none. But Christians are the MOST biased and you should know why. When's the last time you saw a mother on the news saying "My boy is guilty!"

  • Maybe it's the hand of God. Because you know, that's the kind of thing you'd expect from a god that created the universe. Not ending hunger or killing the devil or anything, just leaving marks on an old guys shirt.

  • @gjsterp No, in fact I feel more gullible. More... willing to believe ANYTHING. It's ... wonderful. HAHHAHA

  • Just a random spot in the vague shape of a hand. Chill out dude! At least it was not the face of the virgin Mary!

  • @TruthSurge HAHA Good point. I understand what you're saying; I just can't deny what I've experienced. Nothing can fully explain or express it. Am I biased? Of course, but not having the knowledge to explain everything (no one does) does not damage my faith. But hey, as you've alluded to, there is no "winner" of this conversation. You know your stuff and have your perspective on it, while I have mine. But I'm glad we can both be civil about it.

  • It's a miracle! The hand of God has touched you.

    Do you feel better? Smarter?
