This was the announcing of the winners of the AMV competition on 20th September at Abunai! 2009 in Zwolle, Holland. Congratulations, everyone!

Sorry about not recording it from the very beginning, but I was desperately trying to change the battery in my camcorder as fast as I could, in the dark.

Anyway, I've added annotations to show what was being projected on the wall (which I didn't show, most of the time), with links to the AMVs here on YouTube, but here's the info again:

  • Cool :) I missed that, as I wasn't there on Saturday.

One question though, why did you write "Zwolle" with an ö? ;D

  • After looking back at the Abunai web site, ... I have no idea. ._.

I thought I read it with an "ö" at first, but I guess I saw it wrongly.

    Changed. ^^

...Although I can't change it in my R/C Yukkuri Reimu video. =/

  • Haha ^_^ That's okay though. For a moment there, you made the Dutch language more complex and mysterious than it really is xD

By the way, do you think you'll you be going again next year?

  • I'd really like to, but money is always an issue. So I'll just say "hopefully". ^^

  • BTW, what I'm preparing for now is London MCM Expo (England), on the 24th and 25th of October. Dnstje (the first-place winner at Abunai) will be there too, along with another friend from Holland. =D

I'll be going as Cirno (Touhou Project), so I'm trying to learn the damn dance. xD

  • In one of the videos where 100 people dance to チルノのパーフェクトさんすう教室, my friend noticed that one of the two front dancers looked EXACTLY like me. Do you know how that feels? It made me think about when the hell I've been wasted enough to do the dance in Japan XD

Good luck with the dance though! It's not that hard once you get the hang of it.....though that counts for everything you have to learn in this world, ね?

  • Heh, I think I know the video you mean (I've been trying to learn from it). I can do up until the start of the first verse now, although I still end up a metre to the left of where I started after the turning-around part at the very start. o_O

  • Cool that this filmed cool to see me back at the stage I had a very great time at the convention also the AMV contest at least I did it better then the other AMV contest.

Very satisfied with my 4th place ow well I must admit that Hendrik AMV was much better then mine. Ow well Its more for the experience I'm doing it. Congrats again for

    Hendrik 3rd place

    Linda 2nd place

And or Course Wesley with his 1st place.

FateTSC Timmie Ng (Guy standing next Wesley) at the movie. (Yuki gross cosplay)

  • Well, Wasley was a good winner (lol @ 0:53)

But I'm happy with my 13th place, since it was my first "real" amv for a con (Tsuna 09 doesn't count :P)

And I swear, I'm the only AMV-editor of my school, I'll slap the next classmate who says you can't win much with AMVs XD

  • There's a few different versions of those videos, I'm talking about one where they dance in a forest, I looked almost exactly like the right front dancer before I had a haircut. I want my long asian hair back! >:(

Anyway, if people ever tell you that you have no life for learning the dance, just mention me and you'll be fine. Being able to sing most of Ievan Polkka in Finnish and attempting to learn a 5 minute long chinese tongue-twister, are among those things I do when I'm bored.

    ;)

  • o.o

Dang. I'm in London from the 19th to the 22nd with my mother (vacation) T_T

Good luck with the dance though ;P

  • Hehe :P Alrighty then, hopefully you'll get to be here again then ^_^
