So what I'm guessing this thing does (new to the scene) is that it enhanced your headphone audio regardless of MP3 player? Even adds bass?

Will this thing work inside a car using AUX cable? I have a Cowon O2 PMP as my mp3 player.

the iBAsso T4, but... The T4 is about 30 - 40% better but.. The Fiio E5 is 20$ while the T4 is 109$

What is the source you will be pairing these with? Ipod, fuze, amp3?

Well, personally I am using it with an iTouch 3g because I have no other choice, all my movies and songs are purchased on itunes. It would be a waste to go with any others.. If I had to make a choice between the 2 though, I would definitely go with the zune hd

well obviously the purpose of this device to make it simple to everyone is to ensure that your headphone is working properly. Great headphones requires alot of power to make the driver deliver the best sound quality but since other device such as ipod are programmed to limit the power it delivers to the headphones to extend its life ... then final result is your music is crappy even with a great heaphone .... yup guys ipods are programmed to limit the power it delivers to a heaphone

@edwagner07 Cheerz for replying, I am still not sure how this device represents better treble or bass without changing what the artist originally intended the songs (frequency) levels to be. I understand the point about the amp as that's just volume. I suppose the point in this object is to help the sound when using inaccurate earphones.

the point is not to distort what the artist intended in the original recording. when listening to music, the headphones 'ask' for very little power at some times, and a lot at others. something like this ensures that you will hear crisp bass without it sounding soft or muddy, and also clearer and more precise trebles which sometimes get lost in the mix. AKA an amp just makes sure your headphones have enough power to operate properly.

I could be wrong on this but isn't this device a bit pointless? Surely people would rather listen to there music with the quality and equalization intended by the artist. Wouldn't decent headphones do the job for amplification and bass? Its like those people who choose to turn on super bass/xtra bass etc on there systems don't do it!!!

@fraqture While it is true that you can convert AAC tracks to MP3, that would be lossy transcoding - something that a person who just bothered to spend over $100 on a headphone amp probably doesn't want to do.
