theres something wrong with that rod i had the same thing happen with a penn powerstick with 5 ounces of led when its rated for 8 ounces

Unlucky there mate. My mate snapped two rods this weekend fishing! I love century rods, just a fantastic fishing tool but a pretty handy casting tool too!!! Put a lot of practice on the fiel this year and am approaching 200yards on grass and must say its been hugely beneficial to my fishing. Best of luck with your new rod

Tourny casting isn't fishing that's kind of obvious. Why not say the same about long distance sprinters in the olympics? "be a fucking danger to everyone running down a street at that kind of speed!" I once snapped an Abu Zoom in the same way, it's not nice when you here that crack and the top half of the rod goes seaward, still, i got a replacement as the rod was brand spankers, took the rod to another shop and swapped it for a Shakespeare maxcast match which turned out to be a superb rod, one of the best i have owned to this day and i've owned rods by Abu, Daiwa, Drennan, Conoflex, Metalite, Greys & Tricast
