  • how ironic is it that god (matt) is an atheist?

  • @blackbeltmisha

He's not an atheist. He's agnostic. Big difference.

  • That harmonizer in the solo is too brutal!

  • @Kryomuse so, why do you ask?

  • @EspiritoSanto7 of course it is retarded

  • Dawkins says that an agnostic is an atheist who sits on the fence. I have to agree with him. Though I don't discount the idea of a creator, I have no evidence of it. Therefore my default position is atheism. It is not 50/50 between no God and a God....or maybe it is.....

  • @Liquefaction It's a difference, but not a BIG difference..

  • @Liquefaction Your statement is wrong, and it's sad that so many people thumbed that up. Atheism and agnosticism are compatible. They don't exclude one another. "I don't believe in god because there is no proof he exists, but I can't know for sure he doesn't." is something an agnostic atheist would say. Hope I could clear that up.

  • @TechnoViking94 He uses it ironically to show the main character (the atheist) starting to question himself and the views he's held his life as he dies he begins to wonder if there is some kind of God and if he will go to hell after he dies

  • @Liquefaction He believes in the absolute, he's not agnostic, he just doesn't believe in the Christian version of things

  • @blackbeltmisha well, according to musewiki and some interviews in muse edition og NME, matt is more likely to be agnostic, as he, at least in the interviews, knows that he doesn't know everything, and is aware that maybe there is something about life human's doesn't know. Even in this song, he describes an atheist, not necessearily himself. It is, at least in my mind, a song about beeing open to more answers, not only the oppinion that is stuck in your head.

  • I doubt atheists would go WOOOO when they're dying but still, awesome performance nonetheless.
