Rush hour scooter traffic

someone wanted to see rush hour scooter lane traffic in Taiwan... this is Kaohsiung city, in 2002... actually the scene was much longer, but I can't locate the original tape right now...

Yes, this is Kaohsiung. It was in 2001, when the tunnel below main station was still open.

Hopefully President Ma can clean up that freaking mess....  He did clean up TPE Main Station, used to be you couldn't even walk on the sidewalks...

Mr. Hsieh cleaned up a lot here in Kaohsiung and his "green" sucsessors continued quite well, even without the astronomically high budgets of Taipei and a lot of disturbances and blocking by the "blues". Look at Taipei's mess: They STILL don't have separate scooter lanes. I feel much more scared there than here "in the bunch". In my opinion Hsieh would have been a much better president for Taiwan than Ma!

Taiwan by car is only half the fun, especially outside of the cities! If you ever come to Taiwan try a scooter and you'll see what I talk about! ;)

I sold my SUV. Scooters are more environmentally friendly. Save the space and earth. Save oil and less chimate change.
