The last service played on the 1886 Hill & Son organ on 8th January 1995 prior to its dismantling and restoration. Ian Griggs (Parish Organist 1994-2000) plays the conclusion of Walton's Crown Imperial on the totally worn out 1929 Roberts console. Camera by 10 year old Andrew Nairn. The brilliance and bite of the original Swell reeds can be clearly discerned on this poor quality but historic VHS tape.

  • Yes this is the TOTALLY WORN OUT 1929 Roberts console, as I said in my description. I am not hiiting the keys hard - there was no felt under them- just wood to wood. OK? Thanks for the comment.
