Episode in Brief!
Star Trek : The Next Generation
Episode 3x21 - Hollow Pursuits.

I think this is basically what the episode is about. I mean, not much else happens.

  • This episode was head of it's time, if they had holodecks today someone would be a perv like Reg was. It was pretty deep that they went there, it called internet addiction by a few years before the net came out.

  • I LOVE Barclay, he was one of my favorite characters.

  • In the end barclay deleted all of his holodeck fantasy programs except for one, a mysterious "program # 9". (One can only wonder what was so addictive about that one. LOL, whoa...)

  • I AM DAVE

  • i laughed so hard at this part of the episode and your edit make all the more funny

  • real nice

  • I literally LOL'd there! XD

  • @kakashi76767 Possibly "perv" was an expression, just pointing out how ahead of it's time the story was. A lot of characters had fantasy characters they "dated" in the Holodeck. Reggie's thing was different, he had representations of people he really knew. And you are right about the mess thing...

  • @DEP717 just someone would be a perv? Im sorry, but every guy (and probably most women too) in the world at some point or another would resort to a little holodeck gratification now and then. it would just be a matter of cleaning up the non holographic, all too real mess.

  • @Rayvn7 I'm aware, but it *is* against the rules of service to post full Star Trek episodes. If they were found, they would be taken down.

Also I don't know exactly what you're quoting when you say "also not true", but most of those comments were made two or three years ago, and the internet (and my knowledge of it) has changed a bit since then. In any case, the point still stands that if someone really wanted to watch Star Trek illegally, they should torrent it. A lot better than YouTube.

  • @Tranchera Also not true. A few shows are available off of YouTube, but not many, unless you count Hulu which would be a dumb thing to count since they only put up one season at a time and rotate with as horrible setting of two weeks, which is both too fast and too slow at the same time.

  • @Tranchera Not even remotely true,. lol. Most TV shows and many movies are available on YouTube. Star Trek is one of them, but cannot be found with a search (at least not easily).
