Françoise Hardy performing the French version of Patsy Cline's "When I Get Through With You" (1965). And in my opinion, this version is by far the best!

  • 1965 was -sentimentally-most probably a good year for her, but I wouldn't think F.H. is alluding to J.D. in this song ( pics from 1:47 onwards, showing -let's say- a kind of complicity with J.D., were taken later on) No matter : this cover is still great ! Thank you for posting it.

  • @Becky930 I think you read too much into the pictures. That is all they are, just a bunch of pictures that I had on my computer... no references intended.

  • I never get tired of listening to Francoise Hardy. I have been listening to her since 1968. She just gets better with time.

  • I'm a big Patsy freak, and I love "When I Get Through With You", but I have to agree that this is the definitive version. Such a perfect flow, those different but complimentary lyrics and Francoise's hypnotic voice... the melody just better suits mid-60s mod.

  • Eco Terror Dactyls love Francoise Hardy !

  • vraiment très amable...
