Did McCoy say that they planned on making SIX 8 Doctor movies? Shame that didn't work out. And his family background is fascinating.

Finding this today has made my day. Bless Sylvester McCoy. Always one of my favourite Doctors. Criminally under-rated, and never given enough time to prove his worth. In my opinion, those last two seasons of his contain probably some of the best stories in the entire shows history.

Sylvester McCoy was always my favorite Doctor. His rendition was like a mix of Sherlock Holmes and Charlie Chaplain. His stories were some of the best in the show's history, rivaling some of Tom Baker's greatest episodes. It's tragic that his Doctor never got a fourth season.
