600 miles on this junker and look at it blow smoke on cold start.i'll get a even better video when its sat overnight and isnt so windy.i wouldnt recommend anyone buy this new 3.6L pentastar engine.dealer is telling me its just condensate.bs the exhaust didnt even get a chance to warm up.soon as u start this junker it blows a big smoke cloud.im thinking its a blown head gasket, bad valve guide and or bad rings.if chrysler is what they make, then their just blowing smoke up my rear telling me that its just condensate.

  • im thinking bad valve like you... and people want to know why there are so many imports on the road today. dodge and chrysler are dropping the ball.

  • Chrysler JUNK. Ive owned several Grand Cherokees. ZJ/WJ/WK series. All needed differential rebuilds at low mileage. Electronics fail, power options fail. Complete JUNK. Im in a 4Runner now and could not be happier.

  • The 3.6L Pentastar is fast becoming known as a disaster. Chrysler tested them all of 6 months, and this is the result. The camshaft sensor pickups have been shifting off alignment, causing misfires; metal shards will show up in the oil pan between oil changes 300 miles apart, valves stick, rods throw, et cetera.

Chrysler has been sending dealerships emails with VIN's of 3.6-equipped vehicles that must have their early 3.6's swapped with new crate motors - some dealers ignore these bulletins.

  • Wow, no more Jeeps for me, you sure don't need this kind of problem!

  • wow really they should be taking this thing back
